Inclusive leaders create a climate where people are engaged, feel valued, are fully included in decisions and processes, and actively contribute new ideas and ways of improvement. In this highly interactive workshop, we will explore how inclusive leaders utilize emotional intelligence and knowledge of the value of diversity to leverage their employees’ overall effectiveness and contributions. Participants will develop the skills and competencies of inclusion needed to lead and manage diverse teams. This course will empower and equip attendees to develop inclusive cultures where everyone feels valued and respected. You will deepen your understanding of the benefits of diversity, and you will explore a wealth of perspectives and practices to help you to reap those benefits. Course highlights include studying signature traits of inclusive leadership, strengthening self-awareness, developing your communication skills, and improving your ability to help others feel a strong sense of belonging. Course content covers traditional and timely topics -- from listening, communication and feedback to privilege, implicit bias, microaggressions, and micro-affirmations.
